This Cookie Policy explains how Koachly (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use our product. It describes what cookies are, which ones we set, and how you can control them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They allow the website to remember information about your visit — such as whether you are logged in — making your next visit easier and the site more useful to you.
Some cookies are stored only for the duration of your browser session and are deleted when you close your browser. Others persist for a set period so preferences are remembered across visits.
Cookies we use
The table below lists every cookie and localStorage item Koachly sets, its purpose, and how long it persists.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|
| kly_session | Keeps you logged in between page loads. Required for the authenticated app to work. | 30 days (rolling) | Essential |
| kly_onboarded | Records whether you have completed the onboarding flow so you are not shown it again. | 1 year | Essential |
| kly_cookie_consent | Stores your cookie consent preference ("all" or "essential") so we do not ask again on your next visit. Stored in localStorage, not as a cookie. | Persistent (localStorage) | Essential |
| Analytics cookies | Help us understand how visitors navigate the site — which pages are most visited, where people drop off, and how long they stay. We use aggregate, anonymised data only. | Up to 2 years | Analytics |
Third-party cookies
We may use a third-party analytics provider (such as Plausible Analytics or a privacy-friendly alternative) to understand aggregate traffic patterns. Where we do, the provider is contractually restricted from using your data for any purpose other than providing analytics to us.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking scripts. We do not share cookie data with ad networks.
Managing and opting out
When you first visit Koachly, a banner gives you the choice of “Accept all” or “Essential only”. Choosing “Essential only” disables analytics cookies while keeping the product functional.
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies (such as kly_session) will prevent you from staying logged in.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our cookie usage. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
