Gong doesn’t publish its prices; public estimates put it at about $140 per user a month on a yearly contract. If you want a cheaper option that also gives reps tips during the call, Koachly starts free and its Pro plan is $49 per user a month ($39 billed yearly).
Gong pricing in 2026: what we know
Gong has no price list on its website. You get a quote from its sales team. Here is what public sources and buyers commonly report:
- Per user: about $140 a month, as a public estimate. Your number depends on team size and contract.
- Platform fee: buyers often mention a yearly fee on top of user licences. Ask Gong whether it applies to you.
- Contract: usually yearly. Monthly plans aren’t something Gong advertises.
- What’s included: Gong sells several products, like AI role-play and enablement tools. Ask which ones your quote covers.

For a team of 10, the Gong estimate comes to about $16,800 a year before any platform fee. Pro covers up to 5users, so a team of 10 would use Koachly Business: $79 per user a month billed yearly, or $9,480 a year. Every plan price is on our Koachly pricing page.

What Gong is good at
Gong is a strong product, and many large teams rely on it. To be fair, it does these things well:
- It records and transcribes sales calls at scale, with AI summaries and follow-up emails.
- Its AI Call Reviewer scores calls with scorecards automatically.
- AI meeting prep helps reps get ready for upcoming calls.
- Its AI Trainer lets reps practice with a simulated buyer.
- It tracks deals, helps leaders forecast and connects call data to Salesforce and HubSpot.
If those are your main needs, the price can make sense for a large revenue team.
Where Gong falls short for coaching reps
Gong does a lot, but most of it happens before or after the call. Its live help, per its help center, is talk-ratio alerts in its Zoom app. A rep who freezes on a price question still has to wait for the review.
Smaller teams also run into a few practical problems:
- There’s no free plan to try it on your own calls first.
- Prices aren’t public, so budgeting means a sales process.
- A recorder bot joins meetings by default. Gong also offers a native recording option.
- It’s a big platform. You pay for a lot a small team may not use.
Why Koachly is the cheaper Gong alternative for live coaching
Koachly is built for the rep, not the platform. It coaches before, during and after every call. No bot joins your meeting: Koachly listens through your browser, and you tell the buyer you use a coaching tool.
- Before the call: Call prep gives you a short brief on who you’re meeting and what to ask.
- During the call: Live coaching shows short, private tips on your screen. Only you see them.
- After the call: a Call score from 0 to 100 with 3 fixes, so you know exactly what to change.
- Between calls: practice with an AI buyer, on every plan.
Prices are public. Free costs nothing and includes one free 30-minute live coaching call. Pro is $49 per user a month with 10 hours of live coaching each. Business is $99 per user a month with 25 hours per user, shared by the team, plus Coach my team and a Team playbook.
Who should stay with Gong
Koachly isn’t the right fit for everyone. Stay with Gong if:
- You need deal tracking and forecasts across a large team.
- Leaders want to search a big library of past calls.
- You have a RevOps team to run the rollout, and the budget for it.
You can also run both. Gong keeps the deal reviews. Koachly adds live tips for reps. Our full Koachly vs Gong comparison covers this in more detail.
How to switch from Gong to Koachly in 3 steps
- Start free. Create a free Koachly account. It works in your web browser.
- Test it. Run a few practice calls with an AI buyer, and upload a recent call recording to see its score.
- Move the team. Upgrade to Pro or Business to connect Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams and turn on live tips. Keep Gong until your contract ends, or keep both.
Gong pricing FAQ
How much does Gong cost?
Gong doesn't publish its prices. Public estimates put it at about $140 per user a month, usually on a yearly contract. Buyers also report a platform fee on top. Ask Gong for a quote to get your real number.
Is there a free Gong alternative?
Yes. Koachly has a free plan. It includes 5 calls a month, 60 upload minutes a month (about 2 calls), one free 30-minute live coaching call, practice calls with AI buyers, call transcripts and basic scores. After the free live call, live tips come with Pro, at $49 per user a month.
Does Gong give real-time coaching?
Partly. Gong's help center describes live talk-ratio alerts in its Zoom app. Its scorecards, AI call reviews and AI role-play work before or after the call. If you want private tips on objections while you talk, Koachly gives you one free 30-minute live coaching call, then live tips come with Pro.
Why doesn't Gong list its prices?
Gong sells through its sales team, so the price depends on team size, contract length and add-ons. That's common for tools built for large companies. Koachly lists every plan price on its pricing page.
Can I use Koachly and Gong together?
Yes. Some teams keep Gong for deal reviews and forecasts and add Koachly for live tips. They do different jobs, so they don't get in each other's way.
