Koachly Slack notifications send a call score and coaching summary to a Slack channel automatically after every sales call ends. Your team sees what happened on each call without logging into another tool, and managers get a live feed of coaching performance without having to pull reports. Setup takes under five minutes and runs silently after that.

What Koachly sends to Slack after each call

Each Koachly Slack notification arrives as a structured message in whichever channel you configure. It includes the information that matters for a quick post-call review without overwhelming the channel with noise.

A standard notification contains:

  • Call score — the rep's score for that session, calculated against the active playbook
  • Talk-to-listen ratio — the rep's share of speaking time as a percentage
  • Call duration — total time on the call
  • Key moments — topics that were flagged during the call, such as pricing, objections, or a confirmed next step
  • Coaching summary — a short, structured note covering what went well and one or two areas worth reviewing
  • Rep name and call time — for team channels that receive notifications from multiple reps

Notifications are delivered as Slack messages, not alerts that disappear. They remain in the channel history and link back to the full call review in Koachly if a manager wants to go deeper. See the call scoring features page for detail on how scores are calculated.

How to set up Koachly Slack notifications

The connection uses Slack's standard OAuth flow. You need a Slack workspace where you have permission to add apps, and a Koachly account on any plan including free.

  1. Open Koachly integrations settings. Go to Settings → Integrations → Slack and click Connect to Slack.
  2. Authorize in Slack. You will be taken through Slack's OAuth flow. Select your workspace, review the requested permissions (posting messages to channels), and click Allow.
  3. Choose your notification channels. Back in Koachly, select which Slack channel should receive each type of notification. You can send all notifications to one channel, or route them differently — for example, individual rep channels for personal call summaries and a shared team channel for high or low score alerts.
  4. Configure notification rules. Choose which events trigger a notification: every call, calls above a score threshold, calls below a threshold, or calls where a specific topic was flagged (such as a competitor mention or a lost objection). Start with all calls while your team is getting used to the format, and narrow the rules once you know what the channel volume feels like.
  5. Test the connection. Make a coached call through Koachly. Within a minute of the call ending, the notification should appear in your configured Slack channel.

Routing notifications for different team structures

How you route Koachly's Slack notifications depends on your team structure. A small team with a single sales channel might send everything to one place. A larger team with multiple pods or managers tends to benefit from more specific routing.

A common setup: a private channel for each rep that receives every call notification, plus a shared team channel that receives only calls where the score falls below a threshold or where specific flags fire. Managers monitor the shared channel for patterns and drill into individual channels when they want to follow up with a specific rep.

For teams using Slack Connect with external partners or clients, Koachly notifications should stay in internal channels only. Call summaries contain coaching data about reps — they are not intended for external sharing.

The live coaching features page covers how playbooks relate to what appears in notifications — a well-configured playbook produces more specific and useful coaching summaries in Slack.

Using Slack notifications for team coaching

The most effective use of Koachly Slack notifications is not passive monitoring. Teams that use them well treat the channel as a conversation trigger, not just a log.

A call with a strong score becomes an opportunity to call out what the rep did well in a visible place. A call with a low score and a missed objection flag opens a specific coaching conversation rather than a general "let's review your calls" prompt. Because the summary is in Slack where the team already works, the feedback loop is faster and more natural than scheduling a separate review session.

Managers who combine Koachly's Slack notifications with the detailed review in Koachly's dashboard get the best of both: the channel gives real-time visibility and creates a coaching culture where good calls are acknowledged, and the dashboard gives the depth needed for structured 1:1 coaching conversations. More on how managers use Koachly's coaching data is on the sales team solutions page.

Common questions

Can individual reps control their own notifications?
Yes. Each rep can configure their personal notification preferences in Koachly settings. Team-level routing is managed by admins, but personal channels and notification rules are under each rep's control.

Will the Slack channel get noisy if the team is making a lot of calls?
Start with threshold-based routing rather than all-calls. A channel that only receives calls with scores above 85 or below 60 stays manageable even for high-volume teams. You can always add more granular routing once you know what's useful.

Can I send notifications to a specific rep's DM instead of a channel?
Yes. Koachly can send call summaries to individual Slack DMs. This is useful for personal feedback that does not need to be visible to the full team.

Koachly Slack notifications are available on all plans, including free. Setup takes under five minutes. Start free and have your first call summary in Slack before end of day.
