The best AI sales coaching tools compared in 2026

This comparison of the best AI sales coaching tools covers six platforms: Gong, Chorus, Koachly, tl;dv, Fathom and Clari Copilot. Each is assessed on pricing, live coaching capability, post-call analysis and ease of setup. The goal is to give you a clear picture of what each tool actually does, so you can match it to your team’s real situation.

The main divide in this category is between tools built for real-time coaching during a call and tools built for post-call review and analytics. Some do both. Most do one well and the other lightly. That distinction matters more than any feature list.

Gong: strong post-call analytics, limited live coaching

Gong is the best-known name in conversation intelligence. It records and transcribes every call, scores them with AI, and gives managers a searchable library of recordings with timestamped comments. Its deal forecasting integration is a genuine differentiator: call data sits next to pipeline data, which gives revenue leaders a useful signal about deal health. Gong Engage adds AI buyer roleplay for pre-call practice.

Where Gong is lighter is live in-call coaching. Its Zoom integration shows talk-ratio alerts, but that is limited compared with tools designed specifically to prompt reps in the moment. Public estimates for Gong are $100 to $140 per user a month, plus a platform fee. There is no free plan. See the Gong alternatives comparison or the Gong vs Koachly comparison.

Chorus (ZoomInfo): call review inside ZoomInfo data

Chorus, now owned by ZoomInfo and sold as part of the ZoomInfo platform, records and analyses calls and feeds insights into ZoomInfo’s contact and company data. It has call summaries, scorecards and manager review workflows. For teams that already pay for ZoomInfo, the bundled Chorus access makes the cost easier to justify. ZoomInfo does not publish a standalone Chorus price.

Chorus does not offer live coaching during calls. Its primary value is post-call review combined with enriched contact data. If you are not already a ZoomInfo customer, the economics of buying ZoomInfo for Chorus access alone are likely to be difficult. See the Chorus alternatives comparison for more context.

Koachly: live coaching plus a full rep development loop

Koachly is built around coaching the individual rep from preparation to practice. Before a call, a brief gives the rep context on the prospect. During the call, private prompts appear on the rep’s screen when objections, competitor mentions or buying signals are detected. After, a Call score from 0 to 100 with 3 specific fixes gives the rep a clear next step. Then they can practice those fixes with an AI buyer before the next conversation.

It works on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and other browser-based calls. It runs as a browser extension, so no bot joins the meeting. Prices are published: Pro is $49 per user a month ($39 billed yearly), with 10 hours of live coaching per user a month, for up to 5 users. There is also a free plan. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.

NoteOf the tools in this comparison, only Koachly and tl;dv have a free plan. Gong, Chorus and Clari Copilot all require a sales call to get pricing, and none offer a self-serve free tier.

tl;dv and Fathom: meeting recorders with AI summaries

tl;dv and Fathom are both strong free tools for recording and summarising meetings. They transcribe calls, generate summaries and let you clip specific moments to share. Fathom has a very capable free tier. tl;dv has free and paid tiers with more advanced summary and search features on paid plans. Both are primarily meeting productivity tools rather than sales coaching tools.

Neither tl;dv nor Fathom offers live coaching during calls. They do not score calls against a sales playbook, and they do not provide fix recommendations or an AI buyer to practice with. If your main need is accurate meeting notes and searchable recordings, they are excellent. If your need is coaching reps to perform better on each call, they are not designed for that. See the tl;dv alternatives comparison for more on what tl;dv does and what lies beyond it.

Clari Copilot: live cards tied to a forecasting platform

Clari Copilot, formerly Wingman, shows live coaching cards and battlecards during calls and scores calls automatically. Its strongest value is inside the Clari platform, where call data sits next to pipeline and forecast data. After Clari’s merger with Salesloft, pricing now goes through Salesloft sales. There is no free plan and no published price.

For teams that already use Clari for forecasting, adding Copilot is a natural extension. For teams that want live coaching without a full forecasting platform, it tends to mean paying for more than you need. The Clari Copilot vs Koachly comparison covers this in detail.

How to choose between these tools

A few questions narrow the decision. Do your reps need help during calls or only after? Koachly and Clari Copilot both offer live coaching; Gong, Chorus, tl;dv and Fathom are primarily post-call. Does your team need deal forecasting alongside coaching? Gong and Clari Copilot have it; Koachly does not. Is price a factor? Koachly and tl;dv/Fathom have published prices and free plans; Gong, Chorus and Clari Copilot require a sales process.

For most sales teams focused on rep development, specifically getting reps to handle calls better, Koachly covers the full loop from prep to practice at a published price with a free plan. For large enterprise teams with a RevOps function who need forecasting and call analytics at scale, Gong is the more established choice. For meeting documentation alongside sales work, tl;dv or Fathom are excellent free starting points.
