Extension auto-start: coaching begins the moment your meeting tab loads

Auto-start is an opt-in setting in the Koachly browser extension. When it is on, the extension watches for Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams tabs and starts coaching automatically, without you pressing Start. You can turn it off at any time.

How do I turn on auto-start?

  1. Open the Koachly side panel in Chrome or Edge (click the Koachly icon or press Alt+Shift+K).
  2. Scroll to the Auto-start toggle in the side panel.
  3. Switch it on. A confirmation toast appears.
  4. The next time you open a Zoom, Meet or Teams tab, Koachly starts coaching automatically.

TipAuto-start still requires you to be signed in. If you sign out of Koachly, auto-start pauses until you sign back in.

Which meeting URLs trigger auto-start?

Meeting services that trigger auto-start
ServiceURL pattern
Google Meetmeet.google.com/…
Zoomzoom.us/j/… or *.zoom.us/j/…
Microsoft Teamsteams.microsoft.com/… or teams.live.com/…

Auto-start fires when the tab finishes loading (not when the meeting itself starts). You may see Koachly start a few seconds before you join if the meeting page loads before you click Join.

How do I turn off auto-start?

Toggle it off in the side panel at any time. The change takes effect on the next meeting tab you open. If a call is already in progress with auto-start, stopping it works the same way as pressing Stop manually.

Questions people ask

Does auto-start use my live coaching minutes?

Yes. Auto-start just replaces pressing Start manually. Your coaching minutes count the same way.

Will auto-start work on every computer I use?

Auto-start is a per-device preference stored in the extension. You need to enable it separately on each computer where you have the Koachly extension installed.

Can my manager turn on auto-start for everyone?

Not yet. Auto-start is an individual setting each rep controls.
