Who sees my calls and tips?
| Person | Live tips | Your calls and scores |
|---|---|---|
| You | Yes | Yes |
| The buyer | No. Tips are only on your screen. You tell them you use a coaching tool | No |
| Your manager (Business, Coach my team) | No | Calls you make in the team workspace, with scores, so they can coach you |
| Other reps on your team | No | Only calls you share with them |
Does Koachly train AI on my calls?
No. We don't use your calls to train AI models, and we've opted out of model training with our transcription provider. On Pro and up you can also connect your own OpenAI API key or Anthropic API key, so coaching runs on your own AI account.
How do I export your data or delete a call?
- Delete a call: open the call and delete it. Any audio file still stored goes too.
- Export your data: Settings → Me → Profile → Your data.
- Close your account: from Settings. This can't be undone.
- What Koachly knows about you: edit or delete any note at any time.
Koachly doesn't record your live calls. It turns speech into text and coaches you. If you upload a recording, you review it first. After you confirm, the audio file is deleted within 3 days. Unconfirmed uploads are deleted after 14 days. Your transcripts and coaching history are kept while your account is open, so you can track progress. You can delete any call, or your account, at any time. Teams can set a shorter limit. Accounts with no sign-in for 2 years are deleted after a warning. More in the Koachly privacy policy.
Using Koachly on calls: consent
Koachly listens to your call so it can give you tips. Laws about recording and transcribing calls differ by place, and you are the one who must follow them. In plain words, there are two kinds of rules:
| Kind of rule | What it means | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| One-party consent | One person on the call (you) can agree for the call to be recorded or transcribed | Most US states, and Canada |
| All-party consent | Everyone on the call must agree first | California, Florida, Washington, Pennsylvania, Illinois and some other US states, and much of Europe (for example Germany) |
The simple, safe habit: tell everyone at the start of every call that you use a coaching tool, and ask if that's OK. If someone says no, stop Live coaching for that call. When people on the call are in different places, follow the strictest rule.
ExampleQuick note before we start: I use an AI coaching tool that listens to this call and gives me notes. Is that OK with you?
You can also paste the same line into the meeting chat. Your company may have its own rules, so check with them too.

Questions people ask
Does a bot join my meeting?
No. No bot joins your call. Koachly listens on your side, and you tell the other person you use a coaching tool. The buyer installs nothing.
Who is responsible for telling people a call is recorded?
You are. Recording and consent rules differ by place: in some, everyone on the call must agree first. Tell everyone at the start that you use a coaching tool and ask if it's OK. This is general information, not legal advice.
Is Koachly SOC 2 or HIPAA certified?
No, not today. A data processing agreement is available on all paid plans (email hello@koachly.ai), and Enterprise teams can request a security review.
